Guodian Beilun power plant became the largest plant

Along with the completion of the third phase of the construction of Guodian Beilun power plant on Jun 2, the power plant became China's biggest thermal power plant with an installed capacity of 5 million kilowatts, as a seventh power unit came online.

As its plan, two 1000MW super-critical coal-fired generator sets has be installed in its third stage of construction, as well as the facilities of flue gas desulfurization and denitrification.

The designed annual power generation of this Zhejiang-based plant is 27.5 billion kWh.

The company has five 600-megawatt units and two million-kilowatt units in operation.

Up to May of 2008, the Beilun power Plant has generated 222.56 billion kWh since the very day of its founding.
